Refreshing rains

By 9:30 am, my Saturday morning had already included a walk, some cavorting in the rain (yes, rain!!), basil-pasta making,
kale and cheese sandwiches, and the eating of the first ripe grapes of the season.

I think the day's off to a great start.

Wow! Grapes! Do you have a vinyard-like row trained on wire or string? Also, has someone been watering the grapes to get them to look that good this year? I'm in awe of your success.

Yes, and praise God for your rain. Haven't seen that here for a long while.

Honestly, the vines were here when we bought the place and all we've managed to do is not kill them! They're trained over clothes line, of all things.

We got just a smidge of rain yesterday - I'm afraid it may be another long dry summer. =\

lol, well, there have to be some perks to living in the country, yes? :) But we can take no credit for the grapes ... they were here when we bought the place.
