(Kale, basil, sage, rosemary, onion, garlic, red and white potatoes, baby carrots, parsley, & eggplant.)

Today I went and picked some of everything (currently ready for picking) from the garden.
And then I made lasagna out of it.

(Okay, not the sunflower. Everything except the sunflower.)

That is an absolutely lovely haul. Looks like it made for a most excellent lasagna!

Marie! That looks beautiful and yummy. The sunflower is a feast for the eyes....remember they were the main flower for my wedding?

I remember! I planted them all along the fence on a whim; this is the very first one to bloom. :)

Did you like it? I'm eating some of the last eggplant lasagna I made a few days ago. Funny how fast it goes 'round here! ;) We both love it. I prefer it to 'regular' lasagna.

I sure do! I'm a huge carb/bread/pasta fan, so it'll probably never replace traditional lasagna for me, but this was a really tasty way to use all these vegetables. (Yes, I put potatoes, carrots, kale, and onions in it too. :D)

OHMYGOODNESS, MARIE! Did you know that I have a spare bedroom? To hell with the spare bedroom, did you know we're redoing the attic with built-in book shelves and reading nooks and a sweet bedroom? It will be awesome. I tell you this because you can, you know, live there indefinitely .. and if you feel inspired to make lasagna like this, you know, go ahead. We'd help you eat it.
