Just listen

[Jane] Austen was not a novelist for nothing: she knew that our stories are what make us human, and that listening to someone else’s stories – entering into their feelings, validating their experiences – is the highest way of acknowledging their humanity, the sweetest form of usefulness.

Oh, what a great idea you have given me! I think I'll start reading my Jane Austen collection for this month. :) My niece purchased me a book that contains 7 (is that all she wrote?) of her works and I think I've only actually read three of them and it's been years since I even did that!

Yay! I love that book... I think it's one of the best modern books about Austen out there, actually. Glad you appear to be enjoying it! :)
